Purchasing

Chinchilla City offers several ways for you to purchase items from the website.  If you wish to make a secure payment by credit card, debit card, or your paypal account you may complete the whole transaction online.  Please note, you do not have to have a paypal account to use your credit or debit card; you may also pay by e-check if you have a paypal account (order will be held until payment clears).   If you perfer to send a money order please contact us for payment directions.  If paying by check or money order,  payment must be received within 5 business days or your order will be canceled.

International OrdersChinchilla City welcomes international orders of $40 or more.  Please note that not all products can clear customs (usual prohibited items are food and hay) so please contact us for more information and a shipping quote.  Buyers are responsible for any import taxes or customs fees.

Returns

In order to keep all pets healthy, we do not accept returns.  If we made a mistake or you have a problem with your order, please conact us and we will do our best to keep you a happy customer.  Although we only sell products that we feel are safe and those that we use with our own chinchillas, we cannot guarantee the safety of any item.  It is your responsibility as a pet owner to use your knowledge and judgment as to the appropriateness of the products you use; we are happy to answer any questions you have about a product.  Always thoroughly inspect your pet and all accessories often.  If you suspect an item may cause harm to your pet remove it immediately.  If your pet is injured or sick seek professional veterinary care.

Privacy Policy

The short version is we respect your privacy.  We don't like junk mail either so we won't sell or unnecessarily share your information.  You can view the long version here if you like to read long boring legal jargon: Privacy Policy

Most orders ship within 48 business hours by USPS.  All cages must be shipped FedEx due to the large size, therefore we cannot ship cages to P.O. boxes.  Please allow an extra 5 days for made-to-order items such as ledges, houses, and hay boxes and 7-10 days for cages.  Orders paid by check or e-check will be held until payment clears. 

Flat Rate Boxes:  We are happy to use flat rate boxes that ship for $9.80 (11" x 8.5" x 5.5") or $12.95 (12" x 12" x 5.5") to anywhere in the continental U.S. so long as your items fit in the box.  Houses, hay, and cages will not fit.  If you'd like us to check if your order will fit in a flat rate box please contact us with a list of products you'd like to purchase to see if they will fit in a flat rate box.   

BULK ORDERS
Contact us for quotes on bulk orders.  Please include which products you are interested in, the quantity desired, and your zipcode so we can get back to you shortly with a total quote including shipping.

SPECIAL ORDERS
If there is something specific you are looking for, we may be able to special order it from our distributor.  Doesn't hurt to ask!
